A groundbreaking ceremony was held on January 15, 2026, marking the commencement of the Proposed Extension to the Existing Bottling Plant Facility for Distilleries Company of Sri Lanka (DCSL) at Seeduwa. This significant event symbolizes the beginning of a major development initiative aimed at expanding production capacity and further strengthening operational efficiency.

The ceremony was graced by Eng. Maj. Ranjith Gunatilleke – Managing Director, Eng. Susil Rodrigo – Chief Operating Officer and Mr. Samantha Francisco – Project Manager of Sanken Construction (Pvt) Ltd., who attended as the primary representatives of the project’s construction partner. Sanken Construction (Pvt) Ltd. will lead the development of the new facility, bringing its technical expertise, industry experience, and commitment to maintaining high construction standards throughout the project.
