Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Classroom Building at Wycherley College, Gampaha

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on January 16, 2026, to commence construction of the new classroom building at Wycherley College, Gampaha. This important event signifies the beginning of an expansion project aimed at enhancing the school’s learning environment.

The ceremony was attended by Eng. Susil Rodrigo – Chief Operating Officer and Eng. Kelum Hemachandra – Manager (Projects) of Sanken Construction (Pvt) Ltd., who participated as the main representative of the construction partner. Sanken Construction (Pvt) Ltd. will oversee the development of the new facility, bringing its expertise and commitment to quality to the project.
